Nature has kindly given us a fabulous, sunny and warm week-end for Mother’s Day.
Like hundreds of other housebound moms I headed out to gather my summer crop before it snows again (just kidding), after all, we have to be fast in order to actually reap our backyard harvest.
I am especially excited about planting this year as I am finally settled into a cozy home with a nice backyard and good soil proven by the abundance of wiggly worms crawling around frantic after being uprooted from their underground haven. I am many things, but not yet a seasoned gardner, however I do know what I like. I’m thinking I can’t go wrong with raspberries, strawberries and chives. My teenage son is interested in growing carrots, tomatoes and radishes.
There is nothing quite like fruits and veggies from the garden grown with love, and planted together.
